Learning to Knit!

On Tuesday, December 28, 2009... Karen and I traveled down to Grandma LaNae's house where we had craft day! While at Grandma's she taught Karen and I how to knit!!! I am so excited to be making slippers... I already finished one slipper and am in the process of making the second slipper... i will post more pictures when I can show the finished product!!! Thank You Grandma for teaching me how to knit so I can pass on the wonderful gift that you possess and have passed onto me... as some quote goes.. "Give a man a quilt, he will go cold again... teach the man to quilt he will always be warm!" ... in this case it would be slippers and now I will never have cold feet thanks to this wonderful talent you have shared with me! Thank you again! I can't wait until our next craft day!!!

Christmas Fun!!!

For Christmas this year Karen and Dustin drove out to Utah to come visit us... although we missed Denny and Benita a great deal this year it is so wonderful that Denny is back from Afghanastan and is safe!... Karen looks so cute being pregnant and I can't wait for her to have her baby GIRL!!! cuz the fact is... I'm going to be the best auntie!!! :) Kimberlee had a fun Christmas Eve party where we all gathered and had a wonderful meal, good meal, and spent quality time together! Then on Christmas, mom and dad called me about ten o'clock and watched the last half of Night at the Museum then went and opened presents! I got many wonderful things such as several warm coats and hats to embrace for the cold weather in Logan... some pants... boots... long sleeve shirts... some movies... and time to spend with my family!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving in California!!!

For Thanksgiving my parents and I drove out to California to visit Karen and Dustin! Although it was a very very long drive it was worth every hour we spent in the car to lay on the beach for a couple of days! We had a great time and a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Karen and Dustin got me a boyfriend for my birthday/graduation/thanksgiving present! Thanks! I totally love him!!!

While in Cali we were introduced to Yogurtland... they have every flavor of yogurt you could imagine and you can put delicious toppings on it to create a little cup of heaven! You then pay by how much your yogurt weighs (we got a free shirt because our yogurt put together was the certain weight limit)... then you get to indulge in your creation and enjoy!!!

Karen and I being yogurtland models!...

I was talking to my roomie Lindsey while I was at the beach and she told me to make a sand angel for her since she was in Utah in the snow... so instead of getting covered in sand I just drew a sand angel!

Veteran's Day Parade

I came up to visit my family for a weekend and wound up going to a Veteran's Day parade they were having in Ogden. After finding a parking spot I met up with my mom, sister, and her mother-in-law! We watched all the wonderful floats that commemorated all those who have and still are fighting for this wonderful country. We stood on the side of the road watching all of the floats pass by and waited for Kai Lani's company to pass!

Linda, Mom, Me, and Kimberlee when I first got to the parade!!!

Mom, Linda, Me, Kimberlee.... another shot of the four of us! :)

Thank you to all of those who serve this country!!! A special thanks to my brother Denny, brother-in-law Kai, and Uncle Dave!

Concert at Hastings!

About a week or so before this concert I met some of my neighbors... who play the guitar and sing!!! So I went over there one night to visit them (this is how I discovered they play the guitar)... they attempted to teach me how to play the guitar... but I wasn't doing so well! So after staying at there apartment for a couple hours while they had there little band practice and after my apartment slowly drifted in there after a while... they told us about a concert they were having at Hastings the next week and told us that we should go support them... So Lacie, Lindsey, and I went there and it was an excellent concert they put on and I'm looking forward to their next concert and when they become famous!!!

Griffin on the drum... and Joel on the guitar!

Closeup of Griffin playing the drum and singing!

Joel playing the guitar and singing!

I believe this was when they were singing the stalker song! Such a funny song!!!

Griffin learned how to play the guitar like two weeks before their concert and as one of their final songs they had him play the guitar... he played Jason Maraz "I'm Yours"... He did such a great job! I was impressed that he learned to play the guitar that fast!
I can now add going to a concert at Hastings to one of the many college adventures that I have experienced and can't wait for all the many experiences that are to come!!!

Halloween Fun!!!

On Halloween Lacie, Cassie, Tanya, and I went to the HOWL... a little dance/party shindig that USU put on! I had a blast!!! Can't wait until next year to go to the HOWL again!

Lindsey was going to a party with some of her friends as a cute little witch... a witch?... oh a witch!.. (haha inside joke.. guess you had to be there!)... and I went as a smokin' hot cowgirl!

The Halloween crew! Me (as a cowgirl), Catherine (wasn't really dressed up... but she's cute anyways!), Lindsey (as a witch!)... Lacie (as a school girl), Tanya (showgirl), and Cassie (as a private inspector/cop)...

Lacie, Tanya, Cassie, and I... Killing time before we went up to campus for the HOWL!

Cassie, Lacie, Tanya, and I at the HOWL!!!!

At the HOWL... they had an oxygen bar where you could experience different scents of oxygen that they had available... no i wasn't hyping up on some form of drug... it is actually a cool thing that they have... they had some papers describing what the oxygen bar was really all about and it helps people with bronchitis or other types of breathing problems by breathing in different scents.... After going through finals week apparently somewhere on campus they have the oxygen bar for students to go to so they can relax! My favorite scent was either the eucalyptus, lemon, spearmint, or cherry!

Lacie and I met up with some friends from Morgan!!! Glad we ran into you Weston and Kacie... glad you were an addition to having such a wonderful Halloween night!

Cleaning the Sink!

On Halloween Lacie had her sister Cassie and friend Tanya come to spend Halloween up in good ol' Logan! We decided to try out Angies... "Where the Locals Eat".... They had some good food... but the main event or hoorah about Angies is if you can "Clean the Sink!"... Essentially.. it is this HUGE ice cream sunday... if you are able to clean the sink you get a bumper sticker, your picture on the wall, and bragging rights that you cleaned the sink!

Me, Linds, and Lacie partying it up in the truck!!!

This is the sink that you get the glory from eating... it may look small in the picture.. but trust me! It's huge! It took five of us... and we barely finished!

This is me contributing to the eating of the sink! Everyone that I was with didn't believe that I could shove a huge bite of ice cream in my mouth... they obviously don't know me that well... after a little episode of having a brain freeze I was ready for some more ice cream!

Me, Lindsey, Cassie, Lacie'D, and Tanya... Cleaned the Sink!

Lacie and I showing off the wonderful bumper sticker that we got... the bumper sticker currently resides on Lacie's truck!

Me, Lacie and Lindsey showing our pure joy for being able to clean the sink at Angies!!!
