Work Life

I have always wanted to work in a physical therapy clinic ever since I can remember. I can hardly believe that I have made it here. I continue to learn everyday, have some pretty awesome co-workers, and I love helping people through their recovery process.
The crazy bunch that I work with! We helped at the Morgan Valley Marathon this year with being an aide station. I can now say that I participated in a marathon! I didn't even have to run!

I am so grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me working here. In many ways working here has helped me immensely. Stress free, drama free, and no pain from standing all day! Who could ask for a better place!

I am going back to school on Monday, in hopes of getting into Weber's Athletic Training Program. It has been an emotional roller coaster getting back into school. I didn't think I would be going back again, but here we are 4 days before school starts and I am a nervous reck. I am greatful for Tyson, my family, and friends who continue to support me and give me the motivation I need. On the plus side though, I am taking a guitar class this round of school and I am pretty excited. I keep telling Tyson I am going to "serenade" him with my love songs. Which right now consist of me just going over rhythms in my book before school starts so my fingers don't hurt.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! I am going to grandma LaNae's house for our girls weekend! I am learning to make our family traditional Christmas stocking!

Update

I am attempting to get back into blogging, hopefully this attempt will be more successful! Since I last blogged... I graduated college, got married, and got a new job! I graduated from WSU in April 2013 with my Bachelor's degree in Athletic Therapy. It was a wonderful program and I am so grateful for the friends and knowledge I gained. Tyson proposed to me on January 21, 2013!

The Engagement: I had the day off of work and school so Tyson and I decided that we would go see a movie and go out to dinner to enjoy my day off. The night before he was saying that we should go up to the Bountiful Temple. I just looked at him weird because it is cold outside, and he said that he wanted to get a picture up there to send to his brother on a mission. I said, oh... ok! So the next day I got ready and we headed into town for our hot date! We went to go get tickets for the movie and the next movie was in a couple hours, so then we went to go eat lunch at Tempanyaki - which opened at 4, so we then decided to go up to the temple to get our picture and walk around - Tyson said we could go ring shopping after! (He was very good at killing my suspicions of us getting engaged!) So we went up to the temple and they were closed. So we ended up just walking around the outside and were just talking and when we could see the temple he turned to me, "I can't wait to spend eternity with you" and dropped to one knee, "Danielle, will you marry me?" I was so excited!!! Obviously, I said YES!!! My ring is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We set our wedding date for August 10, 2013. We got sealed in the Bountiful Temple for time and all eternity! I can't believe that it has been a year since I married the man of my dreams. Everything about our wedding was beautiful... the weather, the sealing, the bride and groom, and all of our families and friends. We had a garden reception in my parents backyard where all of our loved ones came to give their love and support. Thank you to everyone who was part of our big day.

Since we have been married Tyson is now working for UDOT and I am working at the Physical Therapy clinic. I LOVE my job helping people through their recovery! I have gained so much knowledge and many friendships from working at the clinic and could not have asked for a better experience.

I will post pictures soon of all the exciting happenings in our lives! I hope to blog about my exciting life as a newly married woman and my journeys of discovering how great of a wife I can be through cooking, cleaning, and crafting! (Thank you Pinterest for providing me with recipes so we don't starve!) Thanks for reading! Hope you have a wonderful day! -Yellie

My CRAZY Life!!

I have decided that I should get back into blogging! I can let you all know what I am doing in my crazy life and how I can keep up with 2 jobs, school, and having a life.  I am entering my last two semesters at Weber State University! I am so excited to almost be a graduate with my Bachelors degree!!! I can't believe that I made it! It has been a rough road and there have been many times that I have just wanted to give up and not continue going to school because I wasn't enjoying the school experience and just wanted to go out and work. Now that I am almost there and I have spread the word about how close I am to graduating I am SO SO glad that I stuck with it and kept pushing through! As many of you know I work at the grocery store in Morgan which is now called Ridley's Family Market (formerly known as Jubilee Foods, IGA, Rogers, etc.). What many of you probably don't know is that I was recently promoted as a manager!! It has been a great experience and has helped me to grow and get over alot of fears that I have had in being able to confront people for doing wrong things, and to stick up for myself.

Recently, I have taken to my running again! I think it has been since I graduated high school in 2009 that I have seriously gone outside and ran just for the heck of it! My running partners are Mackenzie and Samantha that I work with... sometimes I wonder if they are just trying to kill me off! My first day of running.. we ran 3 MILES!!! Ah!! We have gotten up to about 4 miles and we are just entering week two! We run at nights and there have been a few times that I have felt like I was going to get run over because people probably couldn't see us (although with my white legs I don't see how they couldn't have seen us!), so Tyson's family gave me a UDOT vest so I am pretty sure that people should be able to see us now!!! I am proud to announce that I am now able to run 1.5 miles without stopping! Hopefully I will be ready for our race next Saturday! We are competing in the mud run! I will have to post pictures of the after math of us running and crawling through mud pits! I am way excited!!

ICEE RUN!! Christina, Kylie, and I went on an Icee run to the back of the Ridley's parking lot to help cool down! I would highly recommend this ice hut place. Their icee's are the bomb.com! I had the pina colada icee... oooh it was SO good! The mango is also very delicious!

This is my older sister Karen and her husband Dustin, and their two ADORABLE kids! Marissa and Jaxson! Marissa just recently finished her potty training! I can't believe how big she has gotten! I swear everytime I see her she is so much bigger and smarter! I absolutely LOVE her red hair! Jaxson is so cute! He is my little cuddle bug! Last time I saw him he was just starting to goo.. he is going to be a jabber jaws like his mom and big sister!

This is my oldest sister Kimberlee and her husband Kai Lani and the newest edition to their family Marshall! He is SO SO cute! I could just hold him and kiss him all day long! He loves to lay and kick kick kick! I swear he runs a marathon anytime you lay him down just from all the kicking. He thinks it is really funny when grandma is giving him a bath to roll over in the bath tub so she hurries and grabs him and he starts to giggle and gets a big smile on his face and does it again!

Me and Tyson on his birthday, where I took him to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate the occasion! We recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary of dating in June!!! I can't believe that it has been two years that I started dating some guy that turned out to be the love of my life and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together (someday).. No we are not engaged.. yet :) Just to clarify, since it is a daily question that we get asked!!!

This is my FAVORITE brother Denny and his wife Benita, their cute puppy Hemi, and their foster daughter Casandra. I can't wait to meet Hemi and Casandra! I also can't wait to see my brother and benita! I miss them like CRAZY!!! Hopefully after I finish school I will be able to go out and see everyone.. or maybe they will come here and that would just make my entire day!!

More updates to come! Hopefully, I can become a better blogger than I have been in the past! Much love!

Update!!

Since I last posted I was attending Utah State University, however, now I am attending Weber State University. I am about a year and a half out from getting my Bachelors Degree in Athletic Therapy, then off to SLCC to get my degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant! Since I have moved back home many different things have changed in my life! First, my sister Karen had a cute little girl named Marissa Claire! She is almost one year old in 3 days! Crazy how time flies! She is so adorable you can't help but love her! Second, I have fallen in love! Tyson Dearden is the lucky fella! :) We started hanging out in June and it was love at first site and everyday is like a dream come true! Third, we got another foreign exchange student in our house! He is from Puebla, Mexico and his name is Marco Prosperi! He is one funny kid! Since he has joined our household we hold daily phase ten and Yahtzee battles to win "employee of the month" - February was Marco and March - after an intense battle Dad took the title! Fourth, I am working at WSU testing centers as a proctor. I sit and watch people take their tests and make sure they are not cheating! Its a great job! I really like it, I get to work and if its slow enough then I occasionally get the time to study! Speaking of which! Starting Monday, it is FINALS week!!! HOORAY!!! During this semester Jessica Cox (Coffman) and I signed up for an ice skating class - little did we know that we would fall in love with ice skating! We are now taking ice skating on as our new hobby and have signed up for summer ice skating classes and I am still debating whether to purchase my own ice skates!!! They may just have to be my own little splurge on myself for my 21 birthday coming up!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Now that I have filled you in on a little portion of what has happened in my life the past year - I will work on posting pictures for you all to see! :)

Shopping at the Gateway!

Sometime during January, Jessica and I decided to go shopping at the gateway... We took the front runner down there... it was so much fun! Then we went window shopping and got what we needed at the time being... then I made Jess go try on wedding dresses because SHE'S GETTING MARRIED!!! We went to Costa Vida for lunch... mmmm... and of course hit up the rocky mountain chocolate factory... what is a trip to salt lake or wherever there is a chocolate shop without getting some chocolate?... Then we caught the front runner back to Ogden and met my family for dinner at Good Wood!

This is Jess and I enjoying our "femur" ribs.. we can't ever remember what they are called so we call them femurs... they are really good!

This is us at the fountain thingy at the gateway... We are both freezing to death! ... It was a great day and I'm glad I got to hang out with Jess and torture her by making her try on every wedding dress I could find :)

Learning to Knit!

On Tuesday, December 28, 2009... Karen and I traveled down to Grandma LaNae's house where we had craft day! While at Grandma's she taught Karen and I how to knit!!! I am so excited to be making slippers... I already finished one slipper and am in the process of making the second slipper... i will post more pictures when I can show the finished product!!! Thank You Grandma for teaching me how to knit so I can pass on the wonderful gift that you possess and have passed onto me... as some quote goes.. "Give a man a quilt, he will go cold again... teach the man to quilt he will always be warm!" ... in this case it would be slippers and now I will never have cold feet thanks to this wonderful talent you have shared with me! Thank you again! I can't wait until our next craft day!!!
