Jumpin into Freezing Cold Water!!!

After the boat race, everyone decide that they wanted to jump off the bridge into the lake... I was thinking it was going to be this huge drop off.. but it was just a little jump off the bridge...

Everyone was just chillin on the bridge wondering who would be the first to jump in... Brad jumped in first then everyone followed suit... its kinda like when one sheep jumps off a cliff, all the other sheep will follow... however, when one person jumps of a bridge.. everyone jumps off the bridge :)

Makin the first splash!

Lindsey, me, and brad... both lindsey and brad had jumped into the lake.. but since I was fully clothed.. Jeans, tshirt I hadn't jumped in... So I asked Brad if I could push him in the lake and he was like no... I was all you can push me in.. me thinkin that I would run for dear life once i pushed him in... so he agreed. So he climbed over the bar and i was getting ready to push him... So I climbed under the bar and held on ... then pushed him but he grabbed my arm and pulled me in anyways... I jumped a little bit as well... The water was FREEZING!!!!! so I come out of the water and the current catches me as I'm swimming to the edge... current and wet jeans do not mix... so i'm trying to warn everyone that my pants are about to be ripped off by the current ... but I made it out of the lake... pants and all :)

Boat Race

So it is a tradition for people who live at Cambridge Court and anyone else who knows about the race to attend the annual cardboard boat race. Those who participated built a boat out of cardboard and tape then raced across the lake at first dam to determine who the winner would be!!!

This is the winner of the 4th annual cardboard boat race... Congratulations Beth!! Apparently she wins the boat race every year... I'm not really sure on all the facts but if I held that title... I would boast that I was the Cardboard Boat Race Champion.

Tyson and Brad were doing fairly well and were in the lead... then Tyson jumped out of the boat to touch the other side of the lake... When he went to get back in the boat.. he ripped a hole in the bottom and they sunk rather quickly... they came in second place.

Here are some of our neighbors who were in the race!

The start of the race... yes my pictures are backwards.. but thats ok :D

Jell-O Slide

If any of you need any fun ideas for something random to do... A jell-o slide is the way to go! The LDS institute holds an annual jell-o slide on the quad at USU! Once I found out that they were having a jell-o slide... I was so there!
How to prepare for the Jello-Slide
Materials needed - 1 pool full of liquid jell-o water, a large tarp, clothes you can get wet in, lots of people, and a smile on your face!

Step 1: Jump into the pool of jell-o making a huge splash!!!

Step 2: Get a running start....

Step 3: Launch yourself onto the tarp in order to get enough speed

Step 4: Gracefully finish the jell-o slide... get back in line and start the process all over again!

I had so much fun on this jell-o slide... I couldn't get any of my friends to do it with me... but what a great way to meet people by jumping into a pool of jell-o and racing to the tarp!!! it was so much fun and can't wait until next year to experience the jell-o slide all over again!!!
