Trip to North Carolina

So today I left at 6:30 am to go see Benita in North Carolina!!! My first flight landed in Atlanta then the connecting flight was moved to a couple gates down... so I go down and make sure that it is at that gate and it was scheduled to leave half an hour later so I went to the restroom then went and bought myself a tshirt and a candy bar. I then went back to my gate and they changed the gate again!!! So I stood in line to ask where it went and they told me A3... well apparently according to all the people who work at the airport ... "go to the midsection, take a right, go down the stairs, jump on the train and go to your terminal..." so I didn't know that it was called concourse A so I was like no thats not it... just looking at the signs so I called my mom and was like what do I do they won't help me here!!! She was like just calm down and I finally asked her if it was called concourse... she was all yes... so then I followed the signs went down the escalator... and there was a train thing... so at this point I was talking to Kimberlee... I don't know where I am going... but I am going this way anyway... So as you all may tell... since I am with Benita now... I found my gate!!! So Benita met me at the Baggage Claim and we waited for my bags then we were on our way to get some food and go get my lab top!!!
So on Benita's GPS we were driving down Davis Dr. so I took a picture of it for Karen and Dustin...

So for a graduation present Denny and Benita bought me a labtop that I can use for college!! Thank you so much you guys!!! Denny you are my favorite brother and Benita you are my favorite sister in law!!! Benita helped me hook my computer up tonight with my Microsoft package that I won at operation graduation, and my camera software program...

This is a grill by Benita's house, that we are going to go to sometime this week... according to mom and dad it is very good! :D

I was playing with my camera on my drive to Benita's house and took a picture of the tree's... they are amazingly huge out here... oh and this was before we went up a "mountain" of a hill... inside joke.. guess you had to be there :D

This is Jordan Lake in North Carolina... it is a beautiful lake... my picture doesn't do it justice... mainly because we kinda had to stop on the free way to take a picture... but don't worry... my fast picture taking skills no one even noticed... Benita and Denny go boating on this lake... we would go but we don't know how to drive the boat or get it back on the trailer if we did go boating...

And there was this crazy water tower that was sideways... jk... I'm just too lazy to fix it
Well I will continue my update tomorrow!!!
Much love from North Carolina... Yellie

The Swing!

When my family and I went to Cancun Mexico several years ago I bought one of those hammock swing things... so I have had this swing just floating from room to room with me waiting to be hung up and actually used... so my dad put a cover on our deck and he put a place for the swings!!! I am soooo excited!!! So now I sit in my swing everyday soaking up all the enjoyment of the short lived having the swing before I go to college... but hey now i have a reason to come home :D oh and to see mom and dad of course... just kidding... mom and dad come first then the swing!
My dad took this picture to show Benita how warm and toasty it was that day while it was raining where she was.. haha.. we actually had better weather than someone... it was such a nice day and I can sit in my swing and watch what my neighbor kids play basketball on their trampoline acting like they are in the NBA... its pretty cute to watch...

Or I can snuggle with my puppies after work :D This is gracie, rosa was taking snoozin on a pile of blankets as featured below...

Mango Salsa

As I was cleaning out underneath my bed tonight I came across my Mango Salsa recipe that I have and have told everyone about how it sounds really good... but with my memory I keep forgetting to give the recipe out... so since I am kinda wired tonight I figured I would give you all the recipe.... It actually looks good... I haven't tried the recipe yet... but it looks really good!... I mean come on... Its mango salso... who doesn't love mango salsa?
Mango Salsa
  • 1 Ripe Mango, peeled, pitted, and diced (about 1 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno chile, minced (include ribs & seeds for a hotter taste if desired)
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and diced (about 1 cup)
  • 3 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves chopped
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice

-salt and pepper to taste-

*Also good with diced red bell pepper and jicama*

-Method-

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl season to taste with salt and pepper. If salsa ends up being to hot or acidic for your taste, temper by adding diced avacado.

If you make the salsa before I get around to being a domestic goddess you should let me know how it is... it looks really good... so now that I have shared the recipe with you all.. I am going to bed now... Much love.. Yellie

I HATE SPIDERS!!!

So today I was sitting in the basement watching a movie and I feel something on my neck... so naturally I thought... ah spider... then I thought no you're a wimp its just a hair... but then it continued to crawl across my neck and I could feel all of the nasty little legs crawling across my neck! So I tried to move slowly so I could smash it on the floor but it moved to fast so I thought it was in my hair or had gone down my shirt... so I start freaking out and ripping my shirt off to get the evil little creature off of me. So I decided that I was done watching my movie... mainly because I couldn't stand being in the tv room. So I go on with the rest of my day... eat some dinner... go shopping... watched Yes Man up in my parents room... I then take a bath because I felt gross from the day... So I come downstairs and its pitch black... and I start thinking of the spider incident earlier... so I turn on the lights and check all the stairs and just as I turn around the corner to go into my room and flip on the light... and by my door there is a huge spider... so there are some shoes sitting outside my door so i grab one to put on my foot... shake the shoe as hard as I can to make sure there is nothing in there... so i put the shoe on and there is something moving... not entirely sure what it was... nor do I want to know what it was... ick... so I push my door open and jump over the spider to get some suitable shoes that were creepy moving things free and a flip flop to get the spider away from the corner. So I chuck the flip flop and the thing hides under a box and by my hairspray can, so I kicked the box and it came flying at my feet so i scream and jump on the spider... but I wasn't sure if I really got the spider so I just started jumping up and down in the general area I had smashed it just to make sure that it was really dead... then I turn around and look by the shoe and I believe that it was one of those earwig thingies that was in the shoe so I jumped on that one for a while as well... So the picture above is the type of spider I think that it is... I think it was a male because it didn't have the butt thing on it that female spiders do (I was looking on the internet at spider pictures to see what kind of spider it was... I really don't know a bundh of fun facts about spiders)... But it is a male hobo spider which are very poisonous... so mom/dad... we need to spray the basement or I will die from a stupid spider... So I am blogging about the spider because I need to calm my mind before I go to sleep and have spider dreams... I'm just not ready for it yet... but needless to say it has been a spider filled day... and hopefully I don't have another one for at least a week... cuz then I will be at Benita's!

Happy Birthday Eric!!!

Eric is having a birthday tomorrow so on Friday Jessica and I decided to take him to see the new Harry Potter movie, which is totally awesome, then went to lunch at Olive Garden then we were craving ice cream but it was really hot outside so we went to Jamba Juice instead to finish the day off. So while sipping our delicious smoothies we were goofing around with my camera on my phone, it took all three of us but we finally got a good shot :D Since we celebrated your birthday a little bit early Eric and your birthday is in twenty minutes I just wanted to say Happy Birthday!

Day off Work

This summer I am interning at The Franklin Group Real Estate in Morgan in order to earn college credit to get my associate's degree. So today I've been working on a powerpoint to show the office ladies how to use Microsoft Office 2007. It's still in the process... but it's looking pretty awesome!!! Now I think I might go get ready for the day and get something to eat and feed the puppies!
